The learn stage uses machine learning to create models that will be used during detection by using historical data and algorithms designed to detect patterns and identify potential issues.

When creating a model, users can identify and set relevant fields to be included in the detection process.

Once the first two stages are complete, the GL Outlier Assistant identifies the outliers and allows users to review them for accuracy and make any necessary corrections.

In addition, users are provided with additional options, such as creating alerts for quick future detection.

For instance, if you typically have $5,000 in depreciation expense, but the current period’s depreciation expense is $7,500, the GL Outlier Assistant would flag that journal entry.

If you have purchased additional assets and have increased your depreciation expense, you would do nothing, but if the entry is incorrect, you can correct it immediately.
